Perfect solution when installing recessed speakers in suspended ceilings with a slightly greater distance to the outer ceiling above.
Gives the speaker a resonant box for better bass reproduction, and reflects the sound downwards.
Used with advantage together with a hard board (eg plywood) which is sawn in the same dimensions as the ceiling board and laid on top of the ceiling board. The plastic box can advantageously be screwed to the board before mounting.
